Vehicle Extrication Challenge – October 1 and 2

Location: Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service HQ, Eastleigh

Up to 50 of the UK’s top vehicle extrication teams will compete in a 20 minute, two car, single casualty scenario using a standard set of road side rescue tools, including specialist hydraulic, electric, stability and recue hand tools.

Teams are scored on protocols for Command, Technical ability and Medical care.

The top 20 teams from day one will look to consolidate their scores with a new set of scores from a “Complex “ scenario involving a more complicated two car, two casualty scenario.

Teams are required to deal with a time critical patient and a more stable casualty with a thirty minute time frame.
