Strathclyde Fire and Rescue will host the 2009 National Rescue Challenge and Conference ‘Rescue on the Clyde’ in the SECC Glasgow 11th-12th September 2009. Held under the auspices of the United Kingdom Rescue Organisation (UKRO), Rescue on the Clyde comprises of a number of individual rescue challenges. These are:
The UK Road Traffic Collision Extrication Challenge The UK Trauma Challenge The UK Rope Rescue Challenge The UK Urban Search & Rescue Challenge (Technical Rescue Training Centre, Hamilton)
The UK Water Rescue Challenge (Strathclyde Country Park, Hamilton)
The UKRO Conference is an annual provision open to the thousands of its stakeholders. It provides a launching platform for some of the worlds leading Road Safety and Emergency Service specialists to distribute their current thinking and sector specific knowledge. It will be held on Friday 11th Sept 2009 in the SECC Seminar Suite. Bill Denny
